Camp Hope is held at Camp For All. Camp For All is a unique, barrier-free camp working in partnership with other not-for-profit organizations to enrich the lives of children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs and their families throughout the year.

Located in Burton, Texas in a tranquil setting, encompassed by lush landscape and rolling hills, the 206-acre camp site features more than 100,000 square feet of facilities, two lakes, nature trails, wooded areas and cleared areas for a wide range of activities.

Our Programs

  • Teen Talk

Teen Talk is a multi-year curriculum designed to give the oldest campers (13-16) information about making healthy life choices.

Topics include Conflict Resolution, Substance Abuse, PrEP/PEP, Understanding Labs 101, Consent/Teen Pregnancy, Healthy Relationships, Stigma, and Financial Literacy.

It is their first time speaking and learning in-depth about these topics for some of the campers. Camp Hope provides a safe space to open up and share with friends that understand.

  • Leaders in Training (LiT)

Leaders-in-training (16-year-olds only) is a program where the campers assist counselors and help lead various camp activities. Participation in LiT incorporates:

Leadership Development: Leadership, job skills training, resume building, introduction to self-advocacy

Character Building: Making appropriate decisions, working with younger campers, being a good role model

Social Responsibility: Introduction to volunteerism and community building

  • Grownish Leadership Institute

GLI is a new program for our 17-year-old campers that help prepare them for the next steps after high school. Activities will include: Work with a cohort to identify an area of public health/concern and brainstorm solutions. Attend workshops around life skills: resume writing, practice interviews, college/trade school applications, creating a life plan/goals, and more. Gather back for a cohort reengagement as check-in and presentation of the project.
